"Creating and expanding reliable and efficient regional cold supply chains"

Romania is a country that is generally viewed as a very interesting market, on the brink of showing the world its high potential. Rising incomes and improved market access have resulted in a larger middle class. Not only are these consumers more demanding, they are also becoming more conscious of the quality and variety of the products. In order to satisfy these consumer demands, boost consumption, and establish an attractive business climate for all European players in the  chilled/frozen foods manufacturing and logistics business, an efficient and reliable cold supply chain and supporting infrastructure is required.

Besides presentations on technology, refrigeration and energy efficiency, several regional and international experts updated the audience on the current and future market developments. For instance speakers from Planning (“Economies in the region”), Archicom (“Logistic hotspots and market structure”), Macromex (“Distribution challenges, trends in cold storage and transportation in Romania”), and ECSLA (“EU legislation issues today and the near future”) and many other subjects.
